WRAL Blatantly Lies To Make RDU ‘Travel Ban’ Protest Look Larger Than Reality

Once again, the mainstream media in North Carolina is blatantly lying to the people of this great state to make it seem as though there is some large, spontaneous outcry against a commonsense policy that will help ensure the safety and security of our citizens.

Just as they continue to deceive the public on the ‘in-state opposition’ to HB2, despite knowing full well that the overwhelming majority of “protesters” and opposition have been made up of out-of-state radical groups bused into the state, WRAL continues to assume North Carolinians are morons.

On Sunday afternoon, a crowd of precious little snowflakes setup outside of Raleigh-Durham International Airport to stage a protest over the temporary travel ban instituted against a small handful of countries known for being the world’s most active areas for terrorism.

Some of these country’s governments are even known for funding radical Islamic terror, and all have allowed this growing worldwide epidemic to fester into the national security nightmare that it is today.

While only a few hundred protesters actually showed up to RDU – many of them almost assuredly bused in from outside the state and most likely paid to engage in the protest, as is now the unofficial policy of the radical left – that didn’t stop WRAL from deceiving and exaggerating the situation.

Plastered on the front page of WRAL’s website evening Sunday was this deceptive and ridiculously inaccurate headline “Crowd for RDU protest of Trump travel ban 10x larger than expected”.

Below is a screenshot of the headline archived by Google (now altered on WRAL’s homepage) which was somehow archived hours prior to the protest even began:

But, of course, their declaration that the crowd was much larger than expected is a flat out lie.

According to WRAL’s own “reporting,” only 150 people were expected to attend but, by their most generous estimate, 1,000 people magically showed up.

That’s clearly less than ten-times as many “protesters” reported but, in WRAL’s defense, math is hard.

However, the misinformation by WRAL goes even deeper.

A quick glance at the Facebook event page created in advance of this “spontaneous protest” shows that more than 8,500 people were invited to attend, with more than 4,000 people indicating they were interested in attending.

Regardless, the fact still remains that the majority of these protesters were most likely bused in from outside the state, as was the case in Charlotte when protests broke out there in the fall and more than 70% of those protesters arrested were from outside North Carolina.

This is just another in a long line of blatantly false and biased “fake news” from North Carolina’s most liberal outlet.

At this point, can the people of this great state trust anything they say?
