Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina likes to sport his R.I.N.O badge proudly, often boasting, that to him, it means a ‘Republican In Need of Outcomes.’ Well, if Thom has his way it looks like those results would include Leftist gun control measures.
Tillis claims to be a supporter of the Second Amendment, and is heavily backed by the National Rifle Association, but is now supporting legislation sponsored by gun control nut Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) to strip law-abiding gun owners of their Second Amendment rights through the formation of a national super database.
He joins a long list of RINOs routinely sell out on protecting your rights and buy into the Left’s flawed logic that punishing law-abiding citizens will prevent gun crimes.
From Second Amendment Daily News:
Texas Republican U.S. Senator John Cornyn unveiled a gun control “deal” with vehemently anti-gunDemocrat Senators Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Chris Murphy (D-CT).
Early reports are that the bill’s aim is to create a national gun control “Super Database” to strip Second Amendment rights from more law-abiding gun owners without due process.
As I’ve told you recently, Cornyn has been flirting with gun control legislation since the recent Texas Shooting.
Instead of protecting the gun rights of law-abiding citizens like the hero who stopped the killer, Cornyn is working behind closed doors with Feinstein.
If this legislation sneaks through under the guise of a bipartisan solution in the wake of the horrific mass-murders in Texas, it will open the door for even more stringent gun control laws that not only infringe upon individual rights, but also make everyone less safe, as has been proven time and again.
Tillis likes to brag about reaching across the aisle to get ‘results’ – he’s done it with a push to grant DACA illegal aliens citizenship, and now wants to have Big Brother threaten your liberty to bear arms. He resents conservative principles as too rigid and patronizes the voters who hold them to be self-evident.
He should be voted out in 2020 Republican primaries should he decide to make a run at mantaining residence in the Swamp, and replaced with an actual Conservative that won’t arrogantly chastise Republicans in North Carolina that actually adhere to their stated principles.
It’s no surprise that the Swamp King, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, is also a signatory to the bill.
