President Trump’s whirlwind 11 days in office have left GOP lawmakers frantically trying to keep pace, including members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who have long sought the policies Trump is quickly carrying out in a string of executive orders.

Freedom Caucus lawmakers who spoke to reporters Tuesday at an event sponsored by the Heritage Foundation mostly praised the new Trump administration for moving quickly with executive actions that uphold the promises made to voters on healthcare, regulations, trade deals, taxpayer funding of abortion, energy and other issues.

“This is the first time in American history people are complaining about the president keeping his promises,” said Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho. “He told us what he was going to do, there are no secrets about what he wanted to do and he has done it at an expeditious rate.”

Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said it has been challenging to keep up with Trump’s speedy and seemingly nonstop rollout of his agenda that has also been accompanied by frequent presidential statements on twitter.
