NEW YORK CITY – Around 7:30 AM Monday morning an ISIS-inspired attempted terror attack failed at a busy bus terminal when the aspiring murderer’s pipe-bomb detonated prematurely.
“A Bangladeshi man reportedly inspired by ISIS set off a pipe bomb inside New York’s Port Authority bus terminal during rush hour Monday morning, sowing mass chaos but causing few injuries — likely because the “attempted terrorist” detonated his “low tech device” prematurely.
Akayed Ullah, 27, set off the “effectively low-tech device” in a subway passageway just before 7:30 a.m., New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a news conference. Ullah suffered burns and wounds to his abdomen and hands and appeared to be the only person seriously injured in the pipe bomb explosion, authorities said.
At least three other people suffered minor injuries, including ringing in the ears and headaches. They are in stable condition and expected to be released later Monday, the hospital said in a statement to Fox News.”
Not long ago, social media accounts associated with the Islamist terrorist organization warned of Christmas season attacks. While the Islamic State has been largely defeated in Iraq and Syria, their followers continue to pose a threat across the world as foreign fighters return to their home countries and indoctrinated individuals are encouraged to perform ‘lone wolf’ attacks.
Security footage captured the explosion as the suspect jihadist walked through the terminal.

Luckily the terrorist’s own incompetence likely contributed to the ‘low-tech’ bomb exploding early, limiting the harm to innocent bystanders.
As we enter the busy lead up to the Christmas holiday, Islamist will try to murder, maim, and terrorize innocent people, driven by a wholly immoral ideology that values death more than life.
Their tactics will be hard to detect and prevent. Unfortunately, vigilance will be required by everyone in large population centers, just when most Americans are focused on the holidays.
“Ullah strapped the crude pipe bomb to his body with Velcro and zip ties. The suspect allegedly packed the 5-inch metal pipe bomb and battery pack into the right side of his jacket, but the device exploded earlier than intended, law enforcement sources told The New York Post. The suspect told police he made the bomb at the electrical company where he works, The New York Post reported.
A large police presence was spotted soon after the explosion in a section of Brooklyn that boasts a significant Bangladeshi population.”
Attacks during the Christmas season – a season of love, salvation, and generosity – demonstrate the stark contrast between the free world, where moral absolutes value life and innocence, with the world of sick jihadists that see death and destruction as their only path to salvation.
This marks the second attack in New York City in two months, after another crazed jihadist murdered eight people and injured a dozen more when he plowed over people on a bike path in a rented truck.
Hopefully, America can make it through the end of the year without any more lives lost to this sick and pervasive ideology spread by evil actors across the Muslim world.
