Where’s Thom? Tillis Noncommittal on Trump Conviction in Sham Impeachment Trial

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Maybe Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) is still trying to ‘wrap his head around’ the impeachment proceedings before the kangaroo court on Capitol Hill. Chief Justice John Roberts has rejected presiding over the proceeding, the Constitution providing no such power to convict an ex-president, only ‘the’ president.

Tillis said a week ago that with Biden moving into the White House, it’s time to ‘move on,’ but he hasn’t exactly been defending Trump against the farcical charges of incitement. Neither has he been calling out Democrats for this absolutely unconstitutional sham of a trial; a witch hunt conducted by the federal government against a private citizen.

It wasn’t long ago, however, Tillis couldn’t get enough of then President Donald Trump.

After spending a couple years undermining the MAGA agenda on immigration — carrying amnesty water for the Left and the Chamber, infamously quipping that ‘There is no border wall,’ and penning an op-ed in the Washington Post opposing Trump in the most high profile way possible –Tillis did an about face, and showered love on Trump like his campaign depended on it. They were the Bash Brothers, or at least that’s what Tillis wanted voters to think when touting his Trump endorsement.

Now? Tillis is listed ‘open to convict or not ruling it out’ in an Epoch Times article on the pressing and extraordinary issue, and other North Carolina Republican lawmakers are demanding Tillis clarify his stance:

That’s conservative State House Representative and NC GOP Committeeman Mark Brody, who is very likely voicing the question on the minds of so many who took President Trump’s advise in voting Tillis back into office.

So is Tillis against it; or, is he ‘okay’ with it; or, is he open to convict?  Being that this entire process is illegitimate, a glaringly obvious fact marked by the Chief Justice’s refusal to show, there’s really only one acceptable position here, and opposition that ends this needs to be active and immediate.
