WASHINGTON, D.C. – With the pandemic panic came shutdown policies that, in many cases, violate individual rights codified in the U.S. Constitution. As such, states and municipalities are being sued by citizens and watchdog groups for enforcing authoritarian orders that infringe on the Bill of Rights.
With the shutdown policies so en vogue, fueled by a collective consensus driven on fear and false dichotomies, many wonder if a sound defense of liberty is possible in this atmosphere.
U.S. Attorney General William Barr, however, wants citizens to know that the Department of Justice may very well be siding with them in lawsuits against states’ coronavirus restrictions:
