GASTONIA – President Donald Trump doesn’t want to win North Carolina, only to see the Governor’s Mansion be occupied by a Democrat. That just can’t happen; not again.
So when Trump was dressing down Democrat Governor Roy Cooper for his COVID lockdowns and support for the Radical Left, he didn’t miss the chance to invite Republican candidate for governor Dan Forest up on the stage.
In 2016, Forest received more votes in his reelection bid for lieutenant governor than Cooper received in his small-margin victory in the governor’s race. This time around, Forest is hoping to best Cooper in vote totals once again. North Carolina would do well to ensure that the entire Republican ticket sees victory in November.
This election is a fork in the road, with the left fork an expressway heading toward serfdom, and the right fork taking us back to Main Street freedom. We need everybody on board to buckle up.
