WATCH: Cameras Catch NC Health Secretary Mandy Cohen’s Mask Hypocrisy, Pretending to Take Mask Off for Cameras

RALEIGH – ‘Wearing masks says that you care,’ opined Governor Roy Cooper just days before issuing a statewide mask mandate. Indeed, Dr. Mandy Cohen, Secretary of the NC Department of Health and Human Services, echoes these sentiments with every briefing. On the flip side, the dynamic despotic duo shame and scowl at those that resist wearing masks or refuse to shut down their lives in fear. Noncompliance irks them, because it hinders the progress made by the sheer force of their virtuous and benevolent efforts to protect North Carolinians. This is about saving lives.

As long as the cameras are rolling, that is.

A good camera angle caught ‘Dr. Mandy’ as she prepared to enter the briefing room for the daily COVID-19 update — an update in which she would surely emphasize (A.K.A shame into compliance) the necessity of wearing masks EVEN THOUGH you might selfishly think its a hindrance or unnecessary in most circumstances — revealing her own mask wearing as a farce.

Well isn’t that cute? The good doctor, and unelected dictator of our lives now, literally does it all for show. She looks to see if cameras are rolling, and, just before she gets to what she thinks is the edge of the frame, she presses a mask to her face (barely) so she can pretend to take it off for the On Air update, AS IF she was wearing it the whole time.

Now maybe she was wearing it earlier; maybe she wears it all the time; but, from the looks of that video, she likes to exist indoors without a mask on, and only makes the show of wearing one when she thinks someone is watching.

Isn’t that dangerous? Wasn’t this about saving lives? You know, wearing a mask indoors is ‘not a big deal’ as the Mask Mob repeats ad nauseam.

While this woman emboldens the collective to shun and shame stubborn non-compliant outliers; while people are literally shooting each other in our state because of the sanctimony of the Mask Mob, a sanctimony inculcated by Cohen and Cooper; the Health Czar Cohen cares only of making a show for the cameras, to signal her virtue, and encourage your compliance.
