RALEIGH – Governor Roy Cooper is scheduled to give a press briefing on COVID-19 updates at 5:00 PM Wednesday at which he is expected to announce whether or not the citizens of the First in Freedom State will be allowed to move into Phase 2 of his reopening plan.
Under Phase 2, restaurants and bars would be released from the grip of Cooper’s edicts, to an extent, allowing for dine-in services at 50 percent capacity. With so many businesses already going under, and many hanging by a thread, the announcement today could make or break them. You can watch the briefing live here.
