Wake County Man Hunt for Suspected Killer of 17 Year Old Apex Girl, Shot in Her Home

APEX – Alexander Gandarilla de Lossantos is wanted for the murder of a 17 year old Apex girl in her family’s home while her parents slept upstairs, and Wake County Sheriffs Department investigators are asking for the public’s help because he is armed, dangerous, and on the loose.

Reports of shootings, and shooting deaths, are not necessarily uncommon in the larger population centers of any state. Here in North Carolina, a scan of the local morning news updates will usually reveal a number of shootings in Durham, Winston-Salem, Greensboro. Many of these shootings are related to “gang violence,” and perpetrators are often unknown.

This murder seems to be a bit different than some urban gang war revenge.

From WRAL:

“[…] Investigators have not named the girl, who was found by her father in their home in the 3000 block of Copperhead Road, near U.S. Highway 1. They say she was shot while her family was asleep upstairs.

The teen was rushed to WakeMed but died hours later.

Detectives say there was no sign of forced entry at the home. Investigators believe the teen knew de Lossantos, but they did not say how.

Eric Curry, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the shooter ran from the home. For hours, police dogs searched the woods around the property to try and pick up his trail.”

That trail was never picked up, obviously, and the alleged murderer is still on the loose. In appealing to the public for help, investigators presumably hope reported sightings of Alexander Gandarilla de Lossantos can help them locate and arrest him. However, being that everyone is being encouraged by our governments to wear face coverings, hiding in plain sight is much easier for a criminal to do.

One more thing: While this is definitely politically incorrect, for sure taboo, so out of bounds that news reports take care to avoid reporting this information; we’d be curious as to the immigration status of Alexander Gandarilla de Lossantos. It’s entirely possible that Lossantos was not in the United States legally, and residing in a county that prides itself on providing sanctuary for illegal immigrants and the releasing — instead of handing over to ICE — the documented criminal contingent among the illegal alien communities in our state.

If that were the case, those very immigrant communities would arguably be in the most danger.

Take a long hard look at this photograph on the off chance you’re able to help point law enforcement in the right direction to nab this armed and dangerous alleged murderer.
