VP Kamala Harris in NC to Stump for Democrats’ Bait-N-Switch ‘Infrastructure’ Bill

GREENSBORO – They may call it the American Jobs Plan, but the multi-trillion dollar monstrosity Democrats are pushing under the guise of infrastructure amounts to a Trojan Horse that puts hundreds of billions toward pet projects and advances the Left’s Climate Hysteria agenda.

Vice President Kamala Harris was in North Carolina Monday to make flowery misrepresentations about the plan:

“We are going to take a giant leap into the future. That is what the American Jobs Plan is all about. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime, once-in-a-generation investment in America’s infrastructure, in America’s future. It is what the American people deserve,” Harris said during remarks to a crowd.

If that plan seems light on details, that’s because it is comprised almost entirely of platitudes backed with helicopter money. Much like the ‘Saved or Created’ jobs of the Obama administration, this plan will do little to actually spur job growth.

Not that that makes it a failure; job creation really isn’t the point. The point is pump trillions toward cronies while pretending to fight climate change, much like Don Quixote savaging a wind mill. Much of the ‘plan’ puts an emphasis on ‘industries of the future,’ predicated on the delusion that Green Jobs are the stuff of productive, growing economies.

The stop through North Carolina reinforces the Old North State as a critical proving ground for politics and policy, having taken on a pivotal swing state stature that manifests in more and more attention from politicians.

Of course, Governor Roy Cooper will be following Vice President Harris around all day, taking notes on the administration’s talking points so that he may parrot them in coming days and weeks.
