Trump Trolls Cooper for ICE Bill Veto

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Governor Roy Cooper’s senseless veto of House Bill 370, legislation requiring local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE in detaining illegal immigrants arrested for crimes so federal immigration laws can actually be enforced, has caught the eye of the President of the United States. President Donald Trump has made fighting illegal immigration a focus of his administration from the beginning, and Democrats like Cooper have been fighting tooth and nail against law and order purely out of spite.

Trump tweeted this weekend about Cooper’s “terrible decision.”

The chances of Cooper returning to the “basics” of the rule of law and securing public safety are exceedingly low as we approach 2020. The governor has made it clear through out his term on Blount Street that when given a choice between common sense and Leftist dogma, he will defer to the ‘Canon of Woke.’
