Trump in Winston-Salem for ‘Airport Rally’ Tuesday

WINSTON-SALEM – On the heels of a visit to the North Carolina coast, which was on the heels of a visit to the western part of the state during convention week, President Donald Trump will be in the Old North State again on Tuesday. This time, though, the focus is on the voters as the Trump campaign visit is to hold an outdoor rally at the Smith Reynolds Regional Airport in Winston-Salem.

As the travel schedule picks up momentum even while that of the coronavirus fades, the use of convenient open air venues like big airplane hangars at the airport has become a go-to option for Keeping America Great.

If you want to attend the Triad Trump rally, you can get details and free advance tickets here.

The president will deliver remarks and likely embrace his free-flowing style as he speaks with supporters. Such events are arguably when Trump is at his best. He’s been known to deliver big statements at such rallies that either ruffle the feathers of the Left, or rile up his fans, or both.

Already there are indications that President Trump will release a list of Supreme Court nominee candidates by Wednesday, should he win a second term. Could he reveal some of those names a day early in Winston-Salem? It’s certainly possible, and that’s why these rallies are such memorable events.

As for the airport staff; even they’r excited for the visit according to local reports. Actually, the airport director said he’d be disappointed if Air Force One DIDN’T come through during the campaign:

“[…] “It’s very exciting when Air Force One comes to town,” said Mark Davidson, Airport Director for the Smith Reynolds Regional Airport. “I was concerned we weren’t going to get any [campaign] visits with the pandemic, but we’re very excited to have Air Force One.”

Davidson said Friday, even with 28 years of experience in the industry, it is still exciting to coordinate a visit for Air Force One.

“Air Force One involves a lot of parties, and groups, when it comes into town,” Davidson said. “Not only are you dealing with the Air Force, but Secret Service as well as White House staff. There’s a lot of boxes to be checked in regards of things to do.” […]”
