Trump Blasts Recent Supreme Court Decisions

WASHINGTON, D.C. – To keep the 2020 surreality show going, the Supreme Court of the United States, dominated by ostensibly conservative appointments and noted as one of the biggest affirmations of President Donald Trump’s legacy, has rolled out some decisions that disappointed, to say the least.

After passing legislation issuing an opinion, penned by conservative(?) Justice Neil Gorsuch that added sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes covered by the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the high court then blocked President Trump’s attempts to end DACA, which was an executive order. At the same time, the court has refused to take up important gun rights and right to life cases.

Needless to say, Trump isn’t too thrilled.

With liberal activist judges having no issue with loyally advancing Leftist perversions of the Constitution and common law, those conservative textualists Republicans campaigned so hard to elect and get appointed are needed now more sorely than ever. Yet, it seems, at the most critical times, that even those judges abandon such senses and reimagine their constitutional role as some energetic remediator of politics they simply don’t like.

While it is an admittedly tricky thing, when and how will the other two branches of government, the representative ones actually constitutionally vested with drafting and enforcing laws and policies, finally put their foot down?

For instance, with Voter ID in North Carolina. Laws were passed, overturned by courts on ridiculous racism opinions; the PEOPLE amended NC Constitution, relevant bipartisan law passed, and a court overturned it still. With the gerrymandering issue, the courts literally ruled themselves in charge of drawing election district maps to make sure they’re fair (fair to whom?), taking over a function constitutionally assigned to the legislature. At what point to the People of the State, as represented by the legislature, tell these overreaching judges to take a hike?

It’s a tough question, but Trump sees a solution in winning more elections, to appoint and elect more Constitutionalist judges, in hopes that the demonstrably inevitable disappointments will be outnumbered altogether.
