WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) must have made a New Year’s resolution to carry even more water for the Left on Capitol Hill. After decrying a physical border wall, continuing his push for amnesty, and fighting to protect Obamacare, Tillis is reportedly planning to again file legislation to protect special investigator Robert Mueller from firing.

This ‘good government policy’ may do nothing in practice, as Tillis admits he does not think President Trump is going to fire Mueller, but it will reignite the narrative that President Trump could do such a thing, and that hypothetical, to the Left, is enough to paint him as guilty. In other words, Tillis will tee up an anti-Trump narrative for the Left to expound upon ad nauseam.
