The Consequences of Avoiding Reality: 26 illegal aliens/95 Acts of Child Rape or Child Sexual Assault in April 2019

RALEIGH – Every month North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement (NCFIRE) compiles a report documenting charges of child rape or child sexual assault against illegal immigrants. In April 2019, 26 illegal aliens were charged with 95 separate acts of child rape or child sexual assault in North Carolina.

The verifiable data NCFIRE is able to obtain is limited, only including about 30 of the Old North State’s 100 counties. That’s because not every county provides the information necessary to document illegal alien criminal activity. Considering that the monthly data only includes that from under a third of the counties, these numbers are very likely low compared to the actual activity.

Think about that for a second; 95 acts of child rape or sexual assault in ONE MONTH could only represent 30 percent of the total. Moreover, when the months are added together, 2019 is way ahead of last year.

From NCFIRE:

“The charges in the 1st four months of 2019 are running WAY ahead of the charges in the 1st four months of 2018. We have reported 330 separate charges in 2019 as compared to 251 in 2018 during the same time frame.

There is only ONE reason for this increase…. the lack of ANY desire by the NCGA to enact ANY sort of deterrent to illegals coming into NC in the first place. (Cheap illegal alien labor and campaign cash from the Chamber of Commerce and the Farm Bureau)

With EVERY state around NC having strong illegal immigration enforcement measures, where do our legislators think these illegal aliens are going to go? […]”

Indeed, North Carolina has a high illegal population relative to its overall population. While there have been some efforts by some lawmakers to enact punitive measures for entities that ignore federal immigration law to create effective sanctuaries, you’d think that nearly a decade under Republican control General Assembly would have done more to address this issue.

Two bills in particular are currently sitting idle in the Rules Committees of the N.C> House and N.C. Senate. One creates a structure to incentivize local governments to comply with state laws related to illegal immigration, the other would require sheriff departments cooperate with ICE.

From NCFIRE:

HB135/S341– Government Immigration Compliance (contact Rep. David R Lewis’ office (910) 897-8100  David.Lewis@ncleg.net Rules and Operations of the House), and

HB370– Require Sheriff Cooperation with ICE (contact  Sen. Bill Rabon’s office (919) 733-5963  [email protected] Rules and Operations of the Senate)

These 2 bills will go A LONG WAY in ridding our state of these undesirable individuals.

Enough is enough! It is time we DEMAND ENFORCEMENT.”

If you think it is ridiculous that our state government has not done more to enforce immigration laws on the books, we’d encourage you to contact these lawmakers and ask that these bills be given a vote.

One of the many prescient quotes of the influential novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged, Fountainhead) speaks to ignoring problems as if they don’t exist.

“You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.”

North Carolinans are burdened with the consequences of lawmakers avoiding reality on a daily basis. If our state government is organized to secure our blessing of liberty, then appropriate actions must be taken to actually secure our communities against the consequences of illegal immigration.
