DURHAM – Up is down, down is up, and the way to combat racism, past and present, is to categorize and treat people according to their race. Especially when it comes to medicine; nothing is more important in the field of medicine than to segregate access based on race.
After all, that’s the anti-racist way.
Duke Health announced the opening of a new coronavirus vaccine clinic in Durham, with plans to give up to 1,000 doses a day to residents. Great news; but, in keeping with this insanity of Woke ‘equity’ in medicine, nearly 150 doses every day, or 1,000 per week, are exclusively reserved for those of a particular racial identity.
“Tuesday marked the first day that Durham residents and others could get their COVID-19 vaccine at Wheels Fun Park.
The play place, at 715 N. Hoover Road, will convert to a vaccination clinic, weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with plans to give up to 1,000 doses per day. Up to 1,000 doses per week will be reserved for members of the LatinX community.
Both first and second doses will be available; the type of vaccine will depend on state allocations, a spokesman said.
An appointment are required. Register online for notification as appointments become available.
The clinic is run by the Duke Health, but it is open to anyone ages 18 and up.”
That’s right, Durham — the City of Medicine, the home of Black Wall Street and civil rights battles in the spirit of MLK Jr — is using race as a determining factor in the administration of medical care. Care the authorities say is vital for the public health of the collective.
Hispanic populations (or Latinos, or Latinas; it turns out they hate the term LatinX) have been some of the most ravaged by the coronavirus. From the beginning of the outbreak, their share of new reported cases was inordinately high when compared to their share of the general population. Whatever the reasons for this, and there are many, to the Woke and those following their tenets under duress, it represents an inequity caused by systemic racism that Woke Dogma only has one prescription for: corrective racism.
It’s hard to believe that vaccines would be denied to any person on account of their race, but the stated policy implies that if enough doses have already been given out that day or week, and you’re not ‘LatinX,’ you will have to wait.
Life-saving medicine segregated by race. Isn’t it nice living in an anti-racist world?
