The Big Impeachment Show: Opening Arguments Concluded, Debate Over Witnesses Gets Underway

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Do they have the votes, or don’t they? Over the last several days the the question of whether or not the Senate will entertain additional witnesses in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Hypothetical whip counts have wavered back and forth as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) tries to wrangle the Republicans into a unified force.

Now that opening arguments have concluded, that question will finally be answered. Debate begins on the topic today at 1:00 PM. While one side of the witnesses coin allows Democrats to continue in their same tired tactics with another “bombshell,” the other side of that coin is witnesses the Republicans can call that that blow the Democrats’ ploy wide open.

So which would you rather have:

A) An expeditious conclusion, and acquittal; or,

B) a drawn out drubbing of Democrats and an acquittal

Maybe sampling a few minutes of today’s proceedings will help make up your mind. As for the Senators on the fence, they’ll be soaking up the spotlight while it all hangs in the balance. You can watch it all below, if you wish, live at 1:00 PM.
