Sinking: Tillis Deep Under Water in Latest Poll

RALEIGH – The same Civitas Poll that put Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Forest 10 points behind Gov. Roy Cooper in a hypothetical 2020 match up, paints an even uglier picture for self-proclaimed RINO and U.S. Senator Thom Tillis. The first term senator’s favorability rating according to this poll puts him significantly under water as his popularity continues sink approaching 2020 reelection.

Tillis’ total favorability has sunk from +2 in November 2018, to -8 just six months later. Only five percent have a ‘Very Favorable’ impression of him, while 17 percent have a ‘Very Unfavorable’ take on the former Speaker of the NC House. Overall, his popularity is sloping way down, a trend that should give momentum to his primary challenger Garland Tucker.

First in Freedom Daily readers probably won’t be surprised at the negatives in this poll, for what they’re worth, but they may wonder what world those five percent ‘Very Favorable’ live in.
