Secular Democrats of America: Congressional Members of Radical Anti-Religion Caucus Write Letter to Biden Urging New Administration to Purge Government of ‘Religious Right,’ Eliminate Religious Exemptions in Law, Close Churches

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The ‘War on Christmas’ will seem kind of quaint after learning what some factions in congress are imploring the incoming (?) Biden administration to do.

In short, a group called the Secular Democrats of America, made up of members of congress, have written a letter to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris outlining their plan to strip the United States of the Judeo-Christian value system and purge the religious right from government.

Why? Because these ‘non-theists’ are of the belief that the Christian right has unfairly wielded a ‘revisionist history’ to impose a ‘moral chauvinism’ upon the country that has corrupted the Constitution itself and embedded Judeo-Christian values as proxy for White Supremacy.

This Woke waste of brain space isn’t coming from just some white girl with dreads on a bull horn in Portland, Oregon; these are members of Congress appealing to an incoming president of the United States to purge government of God-fearing men and women.

From the letter:

“The Secular Democrats of America PAC (SDA) has prepared this document for the BidenHarris campaign to provide recommendations that will not only reverse the damage done by the Trump administration but boldly restore a vision of constitutional secularism and respect in the land for religious and intellectual pluralism.

We urge you to lead our nation on a path that revives the Founders’ vision of religious freedom in our government and promotes a unifying patriotic pluralism—not dogmatic religious chauvinism—in American society. We believe that this is a moment not only to enact policies to advance constitutional secularism but to position the Democratic Party to take back the mantle of religious freedom and pluralism from the Republican Party. […]

We urge you not to underestimate the institutional strength of what we refer to (interchangeably) in this document as the “Christian nationalist movement” or the “religious right.” This movement is extraordinarily well-funded and well-organized, and the manifestation of its extreme and sectarian agenda is on constant display under the TrumpPence administration.

Its political ideology is anti-democratic and anti-scientific. It provides constant cover for white supremacy. And it advances a reactionary economic policy, tax policy, and dominionist view of the environment that undermines our capacity and will to address the climate crisis. Its agenda rests on a pinched interpretation of biblical principles preached by Christian nationalist leadership and thought leaders. With their political agenda sanctioned by a higher power, their base of support is disciplined, motivated, and deeply committed to a vision that does not align with our basic constitutional values and democratic principles.

We ask that you counter this movement’s narrative by actively working to dismantle its grip on our government and counter its inaccurate and revisionist messaging around our nation’s founding. It is no longer enough just to champion the rights of minorities and marginalized communities or to promote inclusion and equality. […]”

This is the (non)religious devotion to an attack, not on religion itself, but on certain kinds of religions whose moral framework align with certain kinds of values, namely, individualism, capitalism, nationalism, and, fundamentally, moral absolutism.

In other words, it is an effort to purge America of the very American ethos, and replace it with a Woke collectivism that acknowledges all faiths (and none) while passing out bread rations and carrying out mandatory vaccinations. Adding to the cringe-factor is the manner in which the group adopts many laudable values and prescriptions in the Constitution to propel a moral framework that undercuts the ideas that form its core.

This is the same tired attack on the ‘Christian Right’ having been waged by communists and collectivists for decades. It’s collectivism masquerading as a harmless appeal to secularism. Except, this time it is propelled by a cultural reform movement that has enough inertia and acceptance among modern mainstream Democrats to pose a serious threat to our ability to secure the actual blessings of liberty and individual — GOD-GIVEN — rights our Constitution enshrines.

The letter outlines, with specificity, actions the group wants the Biden administration to take to affect the kind of change they want to see. It starts with calls to remove First Amendment protections for select groups, denying exemptions for COVID restrictions and mandates, or any other religious exemptions they are afforded.

The group states (with smug pride) that they use the terms ‘religious right’ and ‘Christian nationalist’ interchangeably, as both merely mean ‘white supremacist’ to them.

Overall, they want a Biden/Harris regime to help them rid the U.S. of the religious right so opposition to the Left’s Godless communist prescriptions is gone once and for all. Only government sanctioned science, freedom from (certain)religion, and the Party line will be accepted.

After all, they cannot allow for the freedoms of your Judeo-Christian dogma, if they are to be able to force their Woke dogma upon a compliant collective.
