WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) has ruffled a lot of feathers with her obstinate Never-Trumpism and votes to impeach the former president. She was censured by the Wyoming GOP, is earning primary challengers, and now faces removal from leadership posts by her caucus on Capitol Hill.
And seems as if it will be a congresswoman from North Carolina that will put forward the motion to give Cheney the boot:
SCOOP: The current plan is for Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) to introduce the resolution to expel Liz Cheney from leadership, @MZanona and I are hearing.

SCOOP: The current plan in the House GOP is to have Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) introduce the resolution to oust Liz Cheney from leadership, sources tell me & @Olivia_Beavers.
Foxx, a veteran member of the conference, was critical of Cheney during the last meeting on her future.

Cheney has essentially adopted the Democrats’ talking points when lambasting Trump and scolding his supporters from the position of an Establishment shill that would rather One Party Rule cement the Swamp in place forever.
North Carolina, which voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, will be happy to have one of its own introduce the measure stripping her of leadership posts.
The real question, however, is who the conference replaces Cheney with in these posts. While they may kick out Cheney for being too aggressively anti-MAGA, the likelihood that the Establishment will promote a true MAGA Republican to these leadership roles is exceedingly low.
