Right on Target: Leftist NC Media Giving Congressman Flak for Reminding Us All of the Explicit Reason Biden Picked Harris for VP

RALEIGH – The Leftist media has an amazing ability to completely ignore facts, even if it means reversing themselves entirely, in order to propel a particular narrative. The Leftists at WRAL are offering a prime example of this as they attempt to smear Eastern North Carolina Congressman Greg Murphy (R-3rd) for stating the truth about why Joe Biden picked Kamala Harris as his running mate.

“Republican 3rd District Congressman Greg Murphy came under fire Thursday for a tweet he sent during Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate disparaging Democrat Kamala Harris.

In the tweet, which was later deleted, Murphy, a physician from Greenville called Harris “a walking disaster” and said Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden chose her as his running mate “for her color and her race.”

“Is that how we pick our leaders now in America?” Murphy said in the tweet. […]

North Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Wayne Goodwin called on Murphy to apologize and for Republicans to denounce the tweets.

“There is no place for racism in North Carolina, and based on the pure racism in this tweet, there is no place for Greg Murphy in elected office. His sentiments aren’t just offensive, they diminish the accomplishments of women of color in North Carolina and across our country,” Goodwin said in a statement. […]”

There it is; ‘tHaT rEpUbLiCaN iS rAcIsT!’ How sad and predictable.

Except, as is most often the case, NOTHING the Republican said was remotely racist, and he was EXACTLY RIGHT.

Joe Biden explicitly stated before announcing his running mate that he was ONLY considering a ‘woman of color’ for the bottom of the ticket. As printed in the New York Post just a few months ago:

“There are a number of women of color. There are Latino women. There are Asian. There are — across the board. And we’re just under way now in the hard vet of going into the deep background checks that take anywhere from six to eight weeks to be done,” Biden said during a campaign speech in Wilmington, Delaware. […]

“And so it is almost all of the women I’m considering have had some exposure to foreign policy and national defense issues, security issues, but that is not a minimum requirement. A requirement is that they have the intellectual capacity as well as the temperament, as well as their leadership qualities that lend everyone to believe that they would be ready on day one to be president of the United States of America.”

Biden reportedly is considering a number of women of color, including California Sen. Kamala Harris, who is of South Asian descent, as well as former national security adviser Susan Rice and Reps. Karen Bass of California and Val Demings of Florida, all of whom are African Americans, among others. […]”

Oh look, Congressman Greg Murphy reminded us of the EXACT features that Biden blatantly announced as a pre-qualification to be his running mate! And now WRAL and the NC Democrats are calling Murphy racist?

(Side Note: Notice how Harris is described as “of South Asian descent” there, but was later hailed as the ‘First Black Woman….’)

Based on Biden’s own words, and a widely known and obvious decision for the Democrat to pick a minority woman as his VP to satisfy the demands of identity politics, WRAL and the NC Democratic Party appears to have egg on their face. But they will never admit to it.

Do you think WRAL will ask Wayne Goodwin if Biden is racist for only considering women of color? Of course not, because they know what they are doing has nothing to do with the truth, and everything to do with smearing Republicans as racist whenever they need to distract from their own failures.

Democrats in North Carolina, and that includes most of the ‘news’ media, are desperate to distract from the imploding campaigns of serial philanderers running for Senate, the failures of lockdown governors, Radical Leftists pushing Marxism, and they have resorted to their tried and true strategy of alleging racism.

It is absolutely laughable, and the Leftists at WRAL and Chairman of the NC Democrastic Party should be embarrassed. They won’t be; they have no shame.

Kamala Harris did horrible in the Democratic Primary; She has been horrible as in the U.S. Senate; She is one of the furthest Left politicians in this country; and, she was elevated to VP nominee specifically because of her (confusing) race and gender. We all know this. Congressman Murphy should not be lambasted and smeared for pointing it out, he should be lauded for stating the obvious when the truth has become a dangerous thing to assert.
