RALEIGH – Everyone knows not to throw stones when you live in glass houses, but Congressman David Price just couldn’t help but take aim with a hail of gerrymandering accusations against the Republican led General Assembly. Price is merely following the Party line, accusing Republicans of cheating no matter what, but what he got in response from the North Carolina Senate by way of Sen. Ralph Hise (R-Mitchell) was a glass shattering showcase revealing Price to be the epitome of a hypocrite.
Ouch. The truth is that politicians everywhere have been gerrymandering since the earth cooled. Democrats arguably have the most experience with it, especially here in the Old North State, and it’s not a pretty track record. Democrats like Eric Holder and the Obama organizations are openly working to force maps in their favor. The one and only reason Democrats cry foul over redistricting now is because they are not in power, but such are the consequences of elections.
You can almost set your watch to it. If a Democrat politician is accusing a Republican of wrongdoing, they’re probably hiding their own confession in plain sight.
