‘RAISE THE FREAKIN’ BAR!’: Dad EXPLODES on Loudon County, VA School Board as Anti-Science Closures Weigh on Kids

LOUDON COUNTY, VA – Parents and students are reaching their boiling point. After months of school closures and remote learning, and months of science and experience demonstrating closures are a wrong a detrimental policy, many county school districts in states around the country are still resistant to returning to class and even planning for virtual instruction next school year.

It is absurd; it is harmful; and, a Loudon County, Virginia father has had enough of it.

Speaking during public comment at a local school board meeting, and feeling the pleas of kids and their parents to act rationally in the face of facts were falling on deaf ears, the masked dad broke out in a storm of righteous indignation at the insanity of it all in an emotional call out you’ve got to watch:

Meanwhile, county school districts across North Carolina are doubling down on the in-person paranoia, delaying returns and considering longer term virtual plans.

There are no scientists recommending we keep schools closed. There is no science to support keeping schools closed. There is tons of science and real life experience that our kids are suffering mightily from keeping schools closed.

Not only are schools safe for kids, and teachers, and staff — safer than the general population even in he  case scenarios — the refusal to hold in-person instruction, otherwise known as GOING TO SCHOOL, is actively harming our children.

And yet day after day, elected and appointed leaders make the decision, by action or inaction, to keep them closed. Is it any wonder why that dad blow up the way he did?

You can bet that moms and dads around this state and other have done the same thing whilst working from home, helping your kids with work because the teacher isn’t there, and hearing a new report that your county just delayed a return to school, yet again.
