Pro-Trump PAC Mobilizes to Bolster Bishop in NC-09

NC-09 – The Committee to Defend the President—one of America’s largest pro-Trump super PACs—is officially mobilizing on behalf of Dan Bishop’s congressional campaign. Of the two special elections ongoing in North Carolina, the race between Republican Dan Bishop and Democrat Dan McCready in the Ninth Congressional District is the bigger question mark. Limited polling has the race as essentially a toss up, and even President Donald Trump is flying in to boost the Republican.

The PAC is hoping to do the same for Bishop’s candidacy, with the Committee pledging more than $200,000 in independent expenditures, including a $150,000 spend on TV advertising across the district.

The Committee is also spending $40,000 on a strategic digital advertising program and $12,500 on a grassroots team that will knock on 6,000 doors in the district. And, of course, the Committee is contributing a maximum amount of $5,000 directly to the Bishop campaign.

This helps to combat the pile of cash and ad-spends from national leftist groups trying to sneak another Pelosi Puppet into the U.S. House.

Part of the PACs push will be two advertisements, entitled “Accomplish the Impossible” and “Don’t Be Fooled” respectively, that will appear on social media platforms and TV. So far Bishop’s own ads have been pretty good, but he’ll need all the help he can get to overcome the national Democratic machine he’s up against.
