POTUS: ‘Will Not Comply’ with ‘Illegitimate, Unconstitutional’ Impeachment Inquiry

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Democrats’ impeachment offensive against President Donald Trump rages on in the nation’s capital, but their in for a fight judging by the letter Trump sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi et al. In the president calls the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry based on a 2nd hand report of a conflicted whistle blower is both illegitimate and unconstitutional. The letter explains, in detail, why he will not comply with the impeachment inquiry.

“President Trump and his administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic process. Your unprecedented actions have left the president with no choice. In order to fulfill his duties to the American people, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his administration cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances.”

In response to the letter Speaker Pelosi and her Democrats went apoplectic, fuming, redundantly, about Trump colluding with a foreign power. It is a rebranding of the Russia hoax with even less meat, yet Democrats appear even more desperate to smear him with their unimaginative narrative.

Yet, for all the fervor, and as the letter from the White House points out, there hasn’t even been a formal vote in the U.S. House to open an impeachment inquiry. Why would the president start bending over backwards to help Democrats effectively impeach him in the court of public opinion when they won’t even take a vote to formally start the process?

There are no reasons for Trump to play along with the Democrats’ script, and his ability to tear up conventional playbooks continue to drive Pelosi and company mad.
