OF COURSE: Tillis Praises Democrat Presidential Hopeful Amy Klobuchar as ‘Centrist’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It’s hard to find a Democrat that Sen. Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) doesn’t like, but he’s offering a lot of praise for a Democrat that just announced her 2020 bid for president.

Her name is Amy Klobuchar, a U.S. Senator from Minnesota, and quite a few squishy moderates like Tillis gushing over her. They seem to like her because she is ‘pragmatic’ and ‘centrist,’ as opposed to some of the more notable candidates openly pandering to the Hard Left.

The praise makes sense for Tillis considering he worked with Klobuchar on amnesty legislation for ‘Dreamers’

From Liberty Headlines:

“[…] Last year, Klobuchar worked with a group of Republicans on a centrist Senate effort to aid hundreds of thousands of young, illegal immigrants. The legislation came up short, but Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said Klobuchar was one of the “more reasonable voices” in the room. […]”

Tillis went on to say she has a “legitimately centrist argument to make, but she’s going to find herself in a field that’s going to out-liberal themselves.”

But is the ‘centrist’ Tillis is praising really that moderate? While she has worked across the aisle on select issues, during her tenure in the senate Klobuchar has largely taken her marching orders from the caucus leaders. She reliably votes with Democrats on important issues such as abortion and immigration. Klobuchar has even embraced socialist Rep.Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s extreme ‘Green New Deal.’

Does a Democrat that embraces a plan to throw away the constitution in order to enact a socialist utopia sans all fossil fuels sound like a ‘pragmatic centrist’ to you?

Actually, Klobuchar announced her 2020 bid from Minneapolis, touting her ‘Global Warming Warrior’ bona fides while she was literally being covered in snow. President Trump, of course, couldn’t resist pointing out the irony.

But this is the Democratic candidate that Tillis, and other GOP senators, are heaping praise on. Surprised? Hardly; they likely see someone they can work with to grow the government while claiming the mantle of bipartisanship, or pragmatism. All the while, you’re liberty would be sacrificed, rule of law would be diminished, and the Establishment maintains its grip on power.
