OCTOBER NCFIRE Report: 30 Illegal Aliens, 77 Charges of Child Rape/Sexual Assault

RALEIGH – As select communities across the state grapple with law enforcement leaders intent upon releasing illegal alien criminals in stead of getting the deported, every month the list of those crimes charged to illegal alien grows. According to the October report from North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement (NCFIRE), 30 illegal aliens in North Carolina were charged with 77 separate counts of child rape or child sexual assault.

You would think any law enforcement official would make it a priority to do everything they can to detain illegal aliens charged with such heinous acts until they can be sure immigration authorities can remove them from the community. Yet, too often, such criminals known to be here illegally are simply released on bail to disappear into the shadows all over again.

In fact, featured in this month’s report is a man that shows what can happen when know illegal aliens are held for ICE to pick up.  Roque Benedicto Acuna-Flores, was arrested not once, not twice, but three times in three different counties in less than a month.

First, the illegal alien was arrested in Beaufort County in late September and charged with statutory rape. Then, he was arrested in Cabarrus County less than a week later, charged again with statutory rape. Finally, a mere two weeks later he was arrested for statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of minors in Craven County.

What is going on here? It maybe the same young girl(friend) victim each time — Acuna-Flores is 20 years old — or he could have victimized multiple people across the state. Regardless of the circumstances, it is simply insane to have an illegal alien arrested for rape three times, in three in counties, in less than a month, and not once was he handed over to immigration authorities.

If you find this unacceptable, please make sure your local law enforcement is doing everything they can to cooperate with ICE and the like. Further, make sure your representatives in the General Assembly know you expect action to ensure that is the case in every community across the state.
