NC’s Third District GOP Sends Resolution to Members of Congress, Senators, and State Leadership, Calls for Rejecting Electors from Six States on January 6

GREENVILLE – The list of lawmakers who have promised to object to certification of certain state’s electors when Congress meets on January 6 keeps growing. Now, FIFD has learned that the executive committee for North Carolina’s Third Congressional District GOP (Eastern NC) has passed a resolution calling on Republican congress members and our two Republican U.S. Senators to reject the electoral college slates of at least six states.

The Congressman from the Third District is Rep. Dr. Greg Murphy (R), who was one of 100+ members of congress that signed a amicus brief in support of the Texas case, which was ultimately denied standing by the Supreme Court. Other NC Congressmen like Rep. Ted Budd have also indicated they will object on the 6th.

The letter, and many more like it, mean that a critical mass of lawmakers will object to certification of the presidential electors on January 6, sparking a debate and full vote on the issue.

All the while, a massive rally will be commencing in Washington, D.C. in support of President Donald Trump and sound elections integrity.

Between now and then, we may expect to see more resolutions passed by relevant bodies, calling for the same objections to be made.
