RALEIGH – The SARS-CoV2 virus that originated in China and is now wreaking havoc across the world has infected Republican State Treasurer Dale Folwell. He announced the news on Wednesday afternoon and is recovering at home.
Folwell released the following statement:
Anyone familiar with Folwell knows he is a fighter if there ever was one. He made news last fall after breaking his arm in a motorcycle accident. No, not on some fair weather ride; he was racing motorcycles as he has for years. He is tough as nails, and just as sharp too.
We trust that Treasurer Folwell will recover quickly and continue the good service he’s been providing the taxpayers and pensioners of North Carolina and join him in hoping this all passes as quickly as possible.
