RALEIGH – In case you didn’t notice, the latest court-order redraw of legislative districts in the Old North State went about as smoothly as one could hope when facing a court-imposed deadline. Legislative leaders set about satisfying the court’s transparency requests, public input was heard, the new map drafts were approved with bipartisan support, and even Democrats praised the fairness of the entire process.
Yet, despite all this, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, led by Eric Holder, former Obama attorney general, are still accusing North Carolina Republicans of ‘manipulating’ maps with sinister aims.
Well, N.C. Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) isn’t having it, and is calling out Holder and his cohorts for the strictly partisan hacks they are.
Republicans and Democrats in North Carolina worked in good faith to do something nobody thought was possible. Either @EricHolder didn’t get the memo, or (more likely) he doesn’t even care. pic.twitter.com/htHwlmro7s

With that kind of praise of Republican leadership from direct political opposition in the same chamber, there is only one explanation for any Democrat’s continued petulance. It’s the reason that animated this entire redistricting push in the first place and it’s entire about advancing Democrats and their agenda no matter what. The Democrats quoted above have to face the reality before them, but Holder and the activist Left has little regard for reality when it comes to smearing Republicans and furthering the social justice agenda. They don’t care about fairness; they never did.
