NC House 6: Bev Boswell Earns High Marks From Gun Rights Groups, Opponent Scores Worse Than Democrats

KILL DEVIL HILLS – N.C. House District 6 Representative Beverly Boswell (R) receives the endorsement from the State’s most dedicated and effective pro-gun, second amendment organizations. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) and Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC) Political Victory Fund have endorsed Boswell in her re-election bid to the State House in the upcoming May 8th Republican Primary.

“As your State Representative in Raleigh, I’ve been fighting to expand and protect your gun rights. We have a Constitutional right to bear arms to protect ourselves and our families, and I will always fight to defend that right in the State House.

My record of protecting our Second Amendment rights has earned me the NRA and GRNC endorsements in this campaign and I am honored and very pleased to have their support.”

Boswell has an “A” rating from NRA-PVF. This is the second highest possible rating a candidate can attain, and is reserved for only those with excellent voting records on critical Second Amendment issues.

Her primary challenger, Bobby Hanig, a left-wing environmentalist who’s viciously opposed to President Trump’s energy initiatives, is also an anti-gun sellout. Hanig, who is using the NRA logo without their permission on his mailers, neglects to mention that he received a “D” rating, which is one of the worst ratings a candidate can attain. In fact, four Democrat Lawmakers that are currently in contested primaries scored better than anti-gun Hanig. Click here to see which four Democrat Lawmakers received a better rating than anti-gun Hanig.

Paul Valone, GRNC President, praised Boswell’s proven record of standing up for law-abiding gun owners.

“Beverly Boswell has been a strong leader in the North Carolina House of Representatives when it comes to the protection of our right to keep and bear arms. Let’s send Beverly Boswell back to Raleigh where she can continue championing the freedoms of every law-abiding gun owner.”

GRNC was created in 1994 as an independent, all-volunteer 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving constitutional freedoms. Most – but not all – of the organization’s projects are devoted to defending the individual right to keep and bear arms. For more information about the candidates endorsed by GRNC click here.

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights advocacy group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime.

Hanig’s poor scores on gun rights, combined with his affinity for Leftist environmental causes, (let alone his wardrobe choices) should make the May 8 election an easy choice for conservative primary voters on the Outer Banks.
