NC Democrat Congresswoman Deborah Ross Among Half a Dozen Dems Penalized for Owing Thousands to DC in Unpaid Property Taxes

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rules for thee, but not for me.

While Democrats on Capitol Hill tie themselves in knots in an effort to frame their fleecing of the American people with taxes as a mere ‘fair share’ hike on the ‘rich,’ at least half a dozen of them skipped out on their own taxes and got penalized for it.

North Carolina Democrat Congresswoman Deborah Ross is among those privileged politicians that owed thousands of dollars in unpaid property taxes to the the State of District of Columbia for residences they maintain there.

From Washington Free Beacon:

“[…] Records show that at least six Democratic members were penalized by the District of Columbia for failure to pay 2020 property taxes due at the end of March. Included in the group is Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D., Texas), who owed a combined $9,145.61 on the two Capitol Hill homes he listed on his financial disclosure forms.

Gonzalez’s fellow tax delinquents were Democratic representatives John Garamendi (Calif.), Sean Casten (Ill.), Andy Kim (N.J.), Sean Patrick Maloney (N.Y.), and Deborah Ross (N.C.). Each was charged interest and a penalty, in addition to the balance they already owe on their homes in the nation’s capital. […]

Ross, a freshman member, owed $4,556.16 before paying the balance down. […]”

Maybe, being Democrats in DC, they’ve become too accustomed to the Modern Monetary Quackery to think tax revenues actually matter.

Whatever the case, you can bet your wallet that Ross and all of these Democrats will assail Americans with Leftist talking points about the rich and privileged paying their fair share.
