NC Black Republican threatened at Voting Site in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE – Politics has been a volatile and divisive area since the dawn of civilization. It does ebb and flow, however, and the last few years have been flowing toward political violence and intimidation. Less than two weeks until election day, with early voting in full swing, a Republican volunteer at a voting site in Charlotte experienced the flow first hand.

Charlotte Observer:

“Early voting nearly turned violent in Charlotte on Wednesday, when a Republican volunteer was confronted by a man who showed a gun at a Mecklenburg County polling place, police said.

Derek Partee, who is black, said three white people angrily approached him at the Steele Creek polling place, which is southwest of Charlotte near Carowinds.

Partee posted photos of the three on Facebook, including a photo in which one heavily tattooed man can be seen openly carrying a pistol in a hip holster. Partee said he called the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and filed a report.”

Judging by the pictures, these individuals were the kind of half-brained scum that would think it totally reasonable to intimidate and threaten poll workers and voters.

The police did arrest the suspect with the hip-holster, which turned out to be an air-soft gun of some sort. You can also see from the pictures that the man was approaching Partee in confrontational manner after Partee attempted to write their license plate number down. The group had been seen taking pictures and cruising through the parking lot earlier.

““Down here in Steele Creek working the polls just threatened by two white males (and) a white female who called me a N***a, Black piece of s*** and he exposed his weapon,” Partee wrote in his post, but using uncensored language. “I had to back off and call CMPD, folks are getting bold and forward in the time.”

In an interview with the (Raleigh) News & Observer Wednesday night, Partee said he arrived at the polling place around 2:30 p.m. when a fellow volunteer pointed out the three people in the parking lot who had been taking photos that day and previously. Partee, who is a retired homicide detective from New York, said he decided to take down the license plate number of their car — but before he could, the man with the apparent gun jumped out of the car and confronted him.

“He said something about being a Republican, I said I am a Republican, he said ‘Motherf***** you ain’t s***,’” Partee said.

“They didn’t care whether I was a Democrat or a Republican, they just cared that I was black.””

The Punisher wannabe is a real class act. We’re glad he’s been arrested and hope he is punished to the fullest extent of the law. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of threatening behavior from anyone, from any political party, ever.

IF this person is a Republican, he must be confused about the whole foundation of the party, not to mention the basic principles grassroots Republicans like Partee represent.

Partee was at the voting site to push conservative candidates, particularly Republican candidate for the 12th Congressional District Paul Wright. Wright is facing incumbent Leftist and all-around embarrassment Rep. Alma Adams.

Partee didn’t stop after this encounter; he kept on advocating for the conservative cause.

The police in Charlotte are continuing the interviews with the suspect and considering whether or not federal authorities ought to be involved.

With apparent bombing schemes, Antifa violence, and an overall fervor to politics by many fringe elements these days, the ‘Punisher’ should be punished as to be made an example for any other dimwitted lowlife that feels this is acceptable behavior.
