Multiple Arrests Over Weekend as BLM/Woke Cause Mayhem, Assault Police Officers, ‘Resist’ RNC in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE – The RNC officially kicks off in the Queen City Monday, with a skeleton schedule of meetings and delegate actions, but there was a different kind of action in the streets of Charlotte over the weekend. Multiple delinquent Black Lives Members were arrested this weekend for assaulting police officers, wielding weapons, after the groups marched through streets chanting ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘No RNC in CLT’.

“[…] Police used pepper spray after a demonstrator picked up a steel pipe that was being used for perimeter security fencing and aggressively approached officers, police said.

One person was charged with possession of a weapon at a protest, when police seized a firearm after being alerted that a demonstrator riding a bicycle had a gun, authorities said.

Officers blocked off a street for safety when pepper spray was used on a demonstrator who assaulted an officer at about 11 p.m., police said. Three more people were arrested for assaulting officers and refusing to obey lawful orders, authorities said.

The demonstrators’ chants included, “No RNC in CLT” and “Black Lives Matter.”

As demonstrators continued marching in the streets, they were repeatedly observed placing objects like business signs, garbage cans, e-scooters and traffic cones in the roadway to impede traffic, police said.

Police also made several arrests Friday night, after a group of about 60 demonstrators marched throughout uptown Charlotte. […]”

Black Lives Matter and the coalition of Woke Leftists had vowed to have a ‘Resistance Block Party’ event to demonstrate against President Donald Trump and the RNC during this week’s official business. It was advertised as a family friendly event, but, as expected, the events transpiring over the weekend proved it nothing more than venting mobs fomenting violence and destruction to make their painfully stupid political points.

The sympathetic media was there to frame the agitations in whichever way helps further the Left’s narrative:

Charlotte Uprising, a woke anti-police group, has been training protestors to maximize the mayhem. Then they organize ‘Jail Support’ volunteers to help those arrested for things like assaulting police officers. This is all part of the larger movement, of course:

They also stake out and disseminate super original and nuanced policy positions like, ‘F@#! the Police.’ Imagine that.

There were several arrests Friday night as bands of blue-haired Wokies did their best to impersonate the Mobs of Seattle and Chicago. The ‘resistance’ escalated from there, and now that the RNC is actually commencing (sans people for the most part), the Mobs will agitate more and more.

President Trump is to be officially renominated on Monday. Most of the convention will be conducted virtually.
