RALEIGH – Fresh off the heels of his refusal to testify at the State Board of Elections hearing related to 9th District absentee ballot fraud, McCrae Dowless, the man at the center of the allegations, has been indicted and arrested.

“McCrae Dowless was indicted by the Wake County District Attorney Wednesday.
Dowless, a Bladen County political operative who was hired by Mark Harris to run an absentee ballot operation in Bladen, Robeson and Cumberland Counties in the 2018 election, was also arrested after the indictments became public Wednesday morning.
The Grand Jury returned sealed indictments on Tuesday against multiple people, including Dowless, following last week’s District 9 investigation hearing. […]”
