Mark Meadows Puts John Bolton’s Anti-Trump Book “Bombshell” in Perspective

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It seems every few months during the Trump administration there is a book release that is sure to doom his presidency. Yet, every time, the “bombshells” turn out to be complete duds. Alas, another “bombshell” is ticking down, this time from John Bolton. The former Trump National Security Adviser, who left in a huff after butting heads with a president not interested in further entrenching America in foreign entanglements, has a book coming out in which he claims the president was withholding security aid in exchange for investigations into corruption involving Democrats and the Bidens specifically.

Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), spearheading a backbench effort to expose the Democrats and defend the president, is confidently picking up this “bombshell” and revealing how inert it actually is.

It’s the exact same charge that’s been rehashed time and again, it has as much relevance today as it did when the Democrats first used it as a basis for impeachment -ZERO.

The elected President of the United States, the commander in chief, dictates foreign policy in this context. Presidents routinely use foreign aid packages as leverage for desired policies or reforms from foreign governments. Especially when those governments are corrupt. Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush and on, and on. It is not even close to an impropriety, let alone an impeachable offense.

To top it all off; Ukraine got the aid. Without any of they alleged quid pro quo conditions.

This Bolton Bombshell is going to fizzle, just like every other that has been dropped in the president’s lap.
