WASHINGTON, D.C. – Many voters supporting Donald Trump in the lead up the 2016 elections pointed to the judiciary, and influence the next president would have on it, as reason alone to support the unconventional nominee. Even then, the sentiment was focused mainly on the few lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court the next president would likely wield. Trump was elected, of course, and those voters have been more than pleased in the last few years since. To say that Trump has left his mark on the judiciary would be an understatement; it will be recorded as one of the great legacies of his presidency.
Far beyond a mere appointment to the Supreme Court, after three years of President Trump, one out of every four circuit judges is a Trump appointee. The Senate confirmed more than a dozen more the same week the Democrats were impeaching Trump in the House.

“In total, Trump has installed 187 judges to the federal bench.
Trump’s mark on the judiciary is already having far-reaching effects on legislation and liberal priorities. Just last week, the 5th Circuit struck down a core provision of the Affordable Care Act. One of the two appellate judges who ruled against the landmark law was a Trump appointee.
The Supreme Court — where two of the nine justices are conservatives selected by Trump — could eventually hear that case.
The 13 circuit courts are the second most powerful in the nation, serving as a last stop for appeals on lower court rulings, unless the case is taken up by the Supreme Court. So far, Trump has appointed 50 judges to circuit court benches. Comparatively, by this point in President Obama’s first term, he had confirmed 25. At the end of his eight years, he had appointed 55 circuit judges.
Trump’s appointments have flipped three circuit courts to majority GOP-appointed judges, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in New York. The president has also selected younger conservatives for these lifetime appointments, ensuring his impact is felt for many years. […]”
This is one of the many reasons Democrats are chomping at the bit to get Trump removed from office. In his first term, despite the constant barrage of manufactured outrage and scandals, Trump is transforming the federal government to the benefit of Americans and the detriment of Leftists intent on scrapping the Constitution altogether. The impact of this transformation cannot be overstated, as we here in North Carolina know all too well the trouble liberal judges and litigious Democrats can make
The voters on the fence in 2016, falling Trump’s way on the judiciary issue, are feeling mighty prescient right now. Imagine what a second Trump administration will put forth when it’s unconstrained. As with most conventions, a “lame duck” presidency will hardly apply to Donald Trump.
