Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson Takes Apart Social Justice ‘Equity’ Meme in One Facebook Post

Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson

RALEIGH – If there is comfort to be found among all the seeming threats America faces on a cultural, social, and political level one source of it is without a doubt that it has drawn out patriots like Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson to shatter dangerous ideologies against an anvil of truth and First Principles.

Robinson delivers yet again with a Facebook post that lays waste to a popular ‘Equity’ meme pushed by the Woke to seed critical theories in popular culture.

“These socialist “social justice warriors” are wrong from the outset 99% of the time. Here’s a prime example. They love to tout the cartoon at the top of this meme to explain the concept of social “equity.” While this looks logical on the surface, take a look at what’s going on. The three people are peering over the fence to look at a ball game that is reserved for paying customers. Instead of giving them a way to continue to cheat the proprietors of the ball team out of money and themselves out of a PROPER view of the game, how about we promote the idea of doing what is RIGHT. Buy a ticket and get a seat INSIDE the stadium. That way everyone “wins.” That’s what happens when you do what’s right. And the real depiction here is not the difference between “equality” and “equity,” it depicts the difference between communism and socialism, both of which fail to help humans reach their full potential. Just as in this cartoon the people fail to reach the full potential of the experience of the game. A hot dog, a drink, shade, a seat. Bottom line, this cartoon smacks of the Lyndon Johnson “give ‘em just enough” paternal racism that has brought so much failure to far to many communities. It’s says, keep breaking the rules. In fact, we will help you break them. As long as you stay out of the stadium peering in from the outside…
never reaching your full potential.”
And America can’t either, if she is constantly harangued by ideologues that believe the very basis of our nation’s founding (The Individual) is worthy of subjugation to a resentful collective run by mobs.
Robinson, and a select few others, offer an antidote to this venom. North Carolina is lucky to have such a voice at a time like this.
