Lt. Gov. Dan Forest Tells The Truth Behind Redistricting Lawsuits As Congressional Map Court Hearing Gets Underway

RALEIGH – It may have been voted out of the N.C. General Assembly, but the newest court ordered redistricting of North Carolina’s congressional districts is still at the mercy of the judiciary. Hearings begin Monday for the jurists to decide if they will bless the latest redraw with approval or send lawmakers back to the drawing table instead. Candidate filing has already been delayed, and primary election schedules may be pressured if the resolution does not come quickly.

Of course, this kind of disarray is exactly what Democrats were hoping for when they launched their litigious attacks on maps. They get demonize Republicans, despite the laudable redistricting process followed, and achieve their goal by picking up Democrat-friendly districts.

Lieutenant Governor and 2020 Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Forest wants to be sure North Carolinians know the truth behind redistricting. He’s made a video spelling out just why North Carolina just keeps getting sued, and it’s something every voter in the Old North State should watch.
