Love to Hate: ‘Occupy Graham’ Protest Group Demands Resignation of Congressman Ted Budd

GRAHAM – Leftists don’t form protest groups on a temporary basis; protesting and agitation in projection of Woke Leftism IS what they’re all about. In keeping with that, the Leftist social justice warriors of ‘Occupy Graham’ (Yes; they’re reviving the ‘occupy’ language) are demanding the resignation of Congressman Ted Budd (R-NC) because he voted to reject electors on January 6.

“[…] On Wednesday, they marched to Rep. Ted Budd’s Office to demand that he step down.

In Alamance County, protesters from Occupy Graham wanted to make sure Rep. Ted Budd heard them loud and clear.

“We ask that he be removed or resign…After the attack on the Capitol he still decided to not certify President-elect Biden’s presidential nomination,” said organizer Carey Griffin.

Protesters went directly to his office in Graham, chanting and holding signs like “Ted said your vote shouldn’t count.”

“What happened on Jan. 6 is just impossible that that should not happen and that we need to hold President Trump and those people that voted against certifying a fair and free election responsible for that insurrection,” Griffin said.

Congressman Budd, who represents North Carolina’s 13^th Congressional District, has already condemned the violence that happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6 more than once. He said it was “unacceptable and wrong” and that he believes those that took part in breaking the law should be prosecuted.

In responding to Occupy Graham’s demand that he step down because he objected, he said in part, “People are welcome to express their opinion, but I’m going to continue standing for what I believe is right.” […]”

First; are they trying to start an insurrection? After all, we’ve been told for over a week now that any call to peacefully protest the actions of elected officials is tantamount to instructing insurrectionists to violently attack.

Oh, but this is the Left we’re talking about, so their afforded a common sense treatment that doesn’t apply to Republicans like President Donald Trump, apparently.

That being said, the protesters are obviously looking for something to protest in order to keep their activism alive.

For one, the leaders of Occupy Graham argue that Budd’s vote against certifying the election amounts to ‘canceling’ the voice of his constituents. It goes to show that being well-versed in political agitation does not equate to being well-versed in logic.

President Donald Trump won the State of North Carolina, who was then awarded the State’s electors. Further, Budd was on the ballot, too; he won. Who exactly was he disenfranchising by representing the suspicions of election integrity held by the very people that put him back in office?

No one.

This is merely a Leftist group piling on to the Left’s approved narrative that holds out any defense of Trump — or any opposition to the Left’s agenda at all — as someone unworthy of elected office. They are foot soldiers egging on The Purge as they work toward the kind of one party system they so revere about Communist China.

Make no mistake, the Left LOVES that Budd voted against certifying the election. The Left LOVES the despicable violence at the U.S. Capitol last week. Because they LOVE to hate Donald Trump, and they LOVE hating you too.
