Let the People of North Carolina Decide on Voter ID Laws…

After winning a narrow victory where charges of voter fraud abounded, Roy Cooper has dropped the state’s defense of determining a voter’s true name by requiring them to show a Photo ID just when you get on an airplane, cash a check or buy certain medicines.

It is legally questionable, at best, since the Legislature is defending Voter ID in court as an independent branch of government. But the Governor probably believes having biased, conflict-ridden Judge Michael Morgan on the State Supreme Court shields him from obeying the law.
