FAYETTEVILLE – Air Force One will deliver President Donald Trump to North Carolina Monday to stump for special congressional election candidate Dan Bishop with a Keep America Great rally in Fayetteville.
Bishop’s opponent Democrat Dan McCready, a.k.a. Wrong Dan, is also holding a get out the vote operation Monday afternoon. Something tells us that Trump will pull more of a crowd today.
But that’s not to say this race is settled by any means. Even with the president bringing his MAGA magic to the 9th District for Bishop, the Republican is still imploring supporters to help get out their voters on election day as Democrats outpaced Republicans in the early vote by about 5,000.
The rally starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Crown Expo Center. Originally the vent was to be held at the airport. Doors open at 4 p.m. Free tickets (if still available) can be obtained here.
Perhaps President Trump can energize enough voters to make up the difference, but nothing should be taken for granted when they stakes are so high. Keeping the Ninth District in Republican hands — and out of Nancy Pelosi’s claws — would be a shot across the bow of North Carolina Democrats in 2020 and a shot in the arm for North Carolina Republicans.
