RALEIGH – That role is open, of course, after Jerry Falwell Jr resigned in shame on accounts that his wife had a years long tryst with the pool boy…and Falwell liked to watch. The couple has pushed back, but only on the latter.
Now, the largest Christian university in the country is searching for a new leader, and hopefully one that doesn’t embarrass the school so profoundly. Enter, the Rumor Mill:
There are rumblings that Congressman Mark Walker (R-NC), who is not running for reelection, is being considered for the position. Walker, who is an advisory board member at the university, spoke out earlier this month when Falwell shared some tacky pictures ‘from the yacht,’ calling for his resignation.
Jerry Falwell Jr’s ongoing behavior is appalling.
As a Music Faculty Advisory Board Member and former instructor @LibertyU, I’m convinced Falwell should step down.
None of us are perfect, but students, faculty, alumni and @LUPraise deserve better.

Falwell did not step down; at least, not until the newest pool boy scandal was aired out.
We already know Walker will be available come January, 2021, or earlier. The Republican congressman, reportedly, does not have a pool. Could Walker be leaving congress to return to Liberty University as its president?
