MEBANE – At least one of these aspiring robbers probably wish they had picked a different house. Last Friday morning three armed individuals entered a Mebane home with the apparent intent to steal electronics. Inside they found 11 year old and forced him into a bedroom closet at gun point, but instead of letting the thieves have a field day, the young star baseball player came out swinging for the fences…with a machete.
This 11-year old used a machete to fight off a home intruder. Now the suspect, who went to the hospital after he was struck in the head, is at-large after he walked out of his room. If you know where 19-year old Jataveon Dashawn Hall is, call @OCNCSheriff @ABC11_WTVD pic.twitter.com/gV8y7lYYUl

The suspect on the right in that picture caught the boy’s machete to the head, giving him a serious wound and convincing all of the criminals to leave the house in short order. Unfortunately though, that was the limit of justice served as the inured suspect escaped from UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill and two other suspects are still at large.
Read of how the bandaged (and supposedly arrested) criminal walked out of the hospital unhindered here.
