WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, December 18, 2019, is a historic day as the United States House of Representatives debates and is scheduled to vote on two Articles of Impeachment against President Donald J. Trump. Yet, you’d be forgiven for thinking this Wednesday feels much like every other since election day 2016. The anti-climactic impeachment vote is merely the daily reiteration of Democrats’ desire to remove a president they can’t stand for fear they cannot beat him in an election.
And so, the final act of The Big Impeachment Show commences, after weeks of rotten reviews, to conclude with a vote Wednesday after everyone goes to bed. But first comes hours of debate for America’s viewing (dis)pleasure in which Democrats will do their best acting to paint the president as a monster threatening the demise of America.
Sprinkled in between the tired, redundant, and farcical partisan attacks from Democrats will be Republicans breaking the fourth wall to inform the audience of the satirical nature of what they are witnessing. With less than a handful of presidents being impeached in our nation’s history, Democrats certainly hoped this dramatic Christmas time climax would earn more cheers. Instead, its already old news after weeks of media saturation with sham impeachment hearings.
The president, true to form, is skipping over the media conduits to tell the American public exactly what he thinks of today’s proceedings.
“The evidence has to be overwhelming, and it is not. It’s not even close.” Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel

In the end here, nothing happened. We don’t approach anything like the egregious conduct that should be necessary before a President should be removed from office. I believe that a President can’t be removed from office if there is no reasonable possibility that the Senate..

….won’t convict and remove the President – Then the House should not be Impeaching the President in the first place. If this is the new standard, every President from here on out is impeachable.” Andy McCarthy @FoxNews So well stated. Thank you!

SUCH ATROCIOUS LIES BY THE RADICAL LEFT, DO NOTHING DEMOCRATS. THIS IS AN ASSAULT ON AMERICA, AND AN ASSAULT ON THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!!

If you stay up late enough, you might see something “historic” in the U.S. House. It’s historic, not because President Trump did anything worthy of being among the few impeached presidents, but because it represents break in our constitutional structure, and thus our ability to “secure these blessings of liberty.” If Donald Trump were to be impeached AND removed, then any duly elected president can and will threatened with impeachment for purely partisan reasons from here on out. It’s a breach in the very foundation of our electoral construct.
The next chapter of The Big Impeachment Show, however, is going to have different screenwriters. It’s ending is likely to be markedly different, but whether or not the script can be flipped sufficient to expose the real antagonists remains to be seen.
