Governor Cooper Signs EO Pushing Windmills Boondoggle, Lt. Gov. Robinson RIPS, Implores Gov to ‘Follow the Science’

RALEIGH – ‘Clean energy’ is a fantastic delusion of sorts for the Left, which is why it is so fitting that windmills often become to focal point of ‘clean energy’ initiatives sold as solution to impending and ominous climate change. Don Quixote would nod in approval.

Governor Roy Cooper re-upped his street cred with environmentalists on the Left through an executive order committing North Carolina to the development of offshore wind farms with the goal of replacing fossil fuels and achieving ‘carbon neutral’ status.

It is sold as ‘jobs’, economic development, and, of course, the warm fuzzy feeling one gets from helping save the planet. If only there was someone with common sense and a platform that could call out the policy push for what it is.

Fortunately for us, there is. His name is Mark Robinson, N.C. Lieutenant Governor, and a rare force that might have actually been capable of slapping some sense back into Don Quixote. Robinson went off on Cooper’s win energy EO, ina  manner that only Robinson could.

‘Follow the science’ has been a high-usage term for Democrats these last 18 months or so, especially. Stretching back even further, an identical narrative was constructed in relation to man-made climate change, global warming, and every tax and restrictive burden individuals most subject themselves to in order to avoid calamity.

Just like with the ‘science’ around the Pandemic Panic, the narrative of ‘clean energy’ is far more important to the Left than what the actual science indicates.

The difference for North Carolinians these days is that Mark Robinson is in a position to point this out in a booming way.
