Governor Cooper Excuses Rioters, Lt Gov Forest Denounces Mayhem

RALEIGH – Well, it has been an interesting couple of nights across the nation, and in North Carolina. Spreading protests in response to the Minneapolis police killing of a handcuffed black man named George Floyd have seamlessly transitioned into violent and destructive riots once.

Governor Roy Cooper, a Democrat that jumps at nearly every chance to appease the Radical Left, has been laying it on thick to appear as ‘woke’ as possible. He’s been pushing justice for George Floyd, a position almost every single self-respecting person inherently agrees with already, while excusing the genuine riots as merely part of the deal.

Yes, he insinuated he did not like the destruction and violence, BUT….the message of Black Lives Matter is more important than, say, a business owners rights, according to Cooper. Notice his capitalization; he’s endorsing the BLM cause and organization.

So basically, as long as Roy Cooper agrees with your political message, you can violate the rights of anyone you please and break any law you wish. The crowds are full of Antifa, with organization and guerrilla tactics employed to create maximum mayhem and destruction.

Raleigh has been an epicenter of rioting in the late night hours of Saturday and Sunday, after peaceful protests reliably devolved into destructive chaos each night. The Antifa punks, undoubtedly emboldened by the fact the governor professes to be on their side, are the prime movers in this respect, joined by any delinquent that recognizes how much they can get away with and exploit it to the fullest.

Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest, along with most North Carolinians and Americans, sees both the detestable actions of the Floyd killing and these proliferating riots as a scourge we must be rid of.

“Committing injustice to protest injustice serves no purpose, can bring no peace, start no meaningful dialogue, and drives a wedge between a society that so desperately needs to unite. Our state does not support police brutality or support rioting, looting and burning of property of those who had nothing to do with that brutality. Swift justice is needed in the George Floyd case. Immediate enforcement is needed to stop the destruction we are seeing here at home. Both are wrong.”
That is what North Carolina deserved to hear from their governor, instead of hearing Cooper make excuses for violent chaos because he supports the Leftist political message they carry. Voters will have a chance to choose the kind of representation they’d like in the governor’s mansion in November, obviously, but we’re finding out that failed leadership can wreak a lot of havoc in a short period of time.
