
Speaking on Fox and Friends Monday morning, a former border patrol agent defended the use of tear gas by federal authorities against violent migrants at the border, arguing that the substance was edible.
“To clarify, the type of deterrent being used is OC pepper spray,” Former border agent Ronald Colburn said. “Literally, water, pepper with a small amount of alcohol for evaporation purposes.”
“It’s natural,” Colburn continued. “You could actually put it on your nachos and eat it. It’s a good way of deterring people without long-term harm.”
