First in Wage Growth? NC Top National Averages Over Last Four Years

RALEIGH – The North Carolina Department of Commerce investigated how wage growth trends in the Old North State compare to the nation over the last several years. By the numbers, they conclude that North Carolina has been ahead of the rest of the nation for much of the last four years.

[…] North Carolina’s total private sector year-over year wage growth rates have exceeded those of the nation nearly every month since June 2015 – the exceptions being July and September of 2018 when they were approximately tied.[…]
